Netgear wnr614 the overall recommendation are that it has a wider range and many great features in the home network manager. In addition, the security of a double firewall, DMZ and DoS help WiFi users work and play on the internet with peace of mind.
One of the great features that the Tp-link tl-wr841 has that the Negear wnr614 doesn’t is the ability to control bandwidth. This feature allows the administrator to determine how much bandwidth each computer and device is allowed to use and set controlled limits for them. This sort of control options is ideal for office use or for large families with multiple people using various devices simultaneously.

What are possible improvements in Tp-link tl-wr841n
- The Tp-link tl-wr740n has is the Clear Channel Assessment technology which allows the wireless router to scan channels, determine which ones are being used to avoid possible channel conflicts.
This surely helps to improve the WiFi performance.
I expect TP-Link to include CCA Technology in Tp-link tl-wr841n in their future upgrades 🙂
- Also one more thing I don’t like for TP-Link models is same color display LED’s for all functions ! I think clear distinction like i-Ball routers with Blue color LED for WiFi, Red for Internet etc gives you idea of status from a distance [Being located in top corners normally in homes]
Netgear wnr614 n300 LED Indicators
Amber – indicates that the router is performing the power-on self-test diagnostic.
Green – indicates that the power is on and the router is ready.
Blinking Amber – indicates that the software update is in progress.
Blinking Green – indicates that the firmware is corrupt and you have to restore your firmware.
Off or no light – indicates that the power is not being supplied to the router.
