Best LED Rechargeable Inverter Bulbs in India (2025) | Bajaj vs Philips vs Havells vs Halonix Tested
When the power goes out, having a rechargeable inverter bulb can save your day. These bulbs are designed to switch on automatically during power cuts, providing light for a few hours. But do they really last as long as companies claim?
To find out, I tested 4 of the most popular inverter bulbs in India under ₹200 – Bajaj, Philips, Havells, and Halonix. In this blog, I’ll share the complete test results, brightness (lux) vs backup time graph, and my recommendation for the best value-for-money inverter bulb in 2025.
Test Setup (Real-World Conditions)
I fully charged each bulb as per the manufacturer’s instructions and then discharged them in a dark room while measuring lux values at 5 feet distance every 15 minutes.

📊 Here’s the lux vs time comparison graph:
Key Observations from the Test
Havells: Started brightest (58 lux) and stayed usable for almost 3 hours. Best balance of brightness + backup.
Halonix: Lower initial brightness (45 lux) but lasted longest, with dim light even after 4 hours. Good for those who prefer longer backup, even if not very bright.
Bajaj: Bright at the beginning (55 lux) but declined faster. Useful only for ~2.5 hours.
Philips: Bright initially (57 lux) but completely shut off after ~2 hours, much less than claimed.

Best Rechargeable Inverter Bulb Recommendation
If you want value for money, Havells is the best choice.
Brightest in the test
Gives around 3 hours of usable light (though the company claims 4)
Balanced performance at an affordable price (~₹200)
If you need longer backup but don’t mind dimmer light, Halonix can be considered.

All inverter bulbs help during power cuts, but based on my real-world lux test:
Havells = Best overall (brightness + backup)
Halonix = Longest backup, lower brightness
Bajaj = Decent but drops fast
Philips = Disappointing backup, not recommended
If you’re buying in 2025, Havells gives the best value for money.
