So lets begin with detailed photographic review of each resorts with my comments for each one – I mean what is so special in that resort which I loved the most.

1) River Orchid Resort, Tapola, Mahabaleshwar

When I reached this resort I even could not guess that there will be resort located nearby… so when I casually entered inside this resort which is slightly located inside main road, I was surprised to see such a beautiful layout.

The rooms are located such that you get nice view as well as Privacy to each couple staying (which is very much important)

One more important thing that I must tell is the innovative type of bathroom design. 

You must see this in my video, that the bathroom is open to air type, so you can feel the nature as well as privacy in ensured which will make you enjoy the honeymoon  I mean it .. its so nice …

Another thing is Night stay – you can practically see millions of stars and pitch darkness during night time.

Food quality is one of the best I will say. The cook is specialized in veg and nonveg food.

I had fish curry and fish fry for lunch and wife had veg option. Also in morning we had Poha and Upma. The taste and quality was at its best. I will rate 10/10 marks to the cook.

Also you can have Shivsagar lake ride in their private pedal boats and feed the fishes. Specially children will love to see so many fish in lakewater and enjoy the water rides.

2) Nisarga Agro Tourism, Tapola, Mahabaleshwar

I never expected such high end luxury rooms in small town Tapola !

The owner have taken care that room interior is of 5 star quality, its comparable to the top hotels in Mahabaleshwar.

Another plus point of this resort is that they have their own bar facility to serve you liquor. I think this is the only hotel in Tapola having this facility. And I need not tell you how important this is to youngsters on honeymoon 

They also provide veg and nonveg food as well as barbecue and campfire.

My personal suggestion to go on top of resort (see below photo) from where you can get mesmerizing view of Shivsagar lake water.

3) The Nihal Resort, Tapola, Mahabaleshwar

Key highlights are

• Infinity swimming pool – you will enjoy swimming with Shivsagar lake view
• Floating deck decorated with lighting at night – this is innovative idea and best for celebration of birthday, wedding anniversary, small parties etc
• Night jungle safari in a specially made Jeep – if you like to have adventure and fun, do hire this jeep safari. Even you may not see the tiger, you will spot some small animals.

4) Jalsrushti Agro Tourism, Tapola, Mahabaleshwar

This resort is surrounded both sides by backwaters of Shivsagar lake.

Hihglights of this resort are as follows –

• Surrounded by lake on both sides
• Luxury class rooms – specially you get a bath tub with Shivsagar lake view. So you can enjoy lake view with a glass of wine having a hot tub bath – ideal deal for a honeymoon couple
• they are planning to have swimming pool by May 2021

5) Lakewood Resorts & Spa Tapola Mahabaleshwar

This resort I visited the last. Its too big, I think biggest in all the luxury resorts in Tapola, Mahabaleshwar

Highlights of this resort are –

• Swimming pool
• All rooms are made from Pine wood, so remain cool all the time
• They also have separate bungalows for those who love privacy
• A big gathering hall for functions
